Vinegar or Honey? (Proverbs 20:28)

Truth and mercy and lovingkindness speak to people more than words.

"Loving-kindness and mercy, truth and faithfulness preserve the king, and his throne is upheld by [the people's] loyalty." Proverbs 20:28, Amplified

Words do not mean much when action does not reciprocate. However, words are not needed when action speaks. It has been said that you catch more floes with honey than vinegar. It is important for us to understand that if we are to speak to the people around us, our words, though necessary, are not needed when our actions can convey what is in our hearts. Our actions will either be like honey or vinegar, attractive or repulsive. If we want loyalty from others, we much be like the former.
